Privacy Policy

CricRise is a cricket batting analysis product operated under the AthleteRise project. Contact for privacy questions: use the email associated with your account admin, or the contact details shown on your coaching organisation's materials.

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

• Account data — name, email, username, phone (if provided), and authentication details (including Google sign-in profile data when you choose Google).
• Analysis content — uploaded video clips, shot type selections, pose/analysis results, scores, comparison stills, and related session metadata.
• Coach / player profiles — player display names, age group, handedness, notes, guardian-related acknowledgements, and share links created by coaches.
• Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from network information, when analytics is enabled.
• Preferences — theme and UI preferences stored in your browser (e.g. localStorage).

• Provide sign-in, analysis, results, and session history.
• Operate coach portals, parent share links, and admin tools.
• Secure the service (authentication, rate limiting, abuse prevention).
• Improve the product using optional analytics only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Communicate about account or service issues when needed.

Essential — session cookies required to keep you signed in and protect authenticated routes. These are necessary for the service to work.

Analytics (optional) — we use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage. Analytics loads only after you choose Accept analytics on the cookie banner. You can reject analytics and still use CricRise.

Your choice is stored in your browser (cricrise-cookie-consent). Clearing site data will show the banner again.

We use trusted service providers to run CricRise, including:

• Vercel — website hosting and optional analytics
• Render — analysis API / media processing
• Neon (or similar) — database for accounts and sessions
• Google — optional OAuth sign-in
• Other tools we configure for rate limiting or optional coaching AI features, when enabled

Providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service. They are not authorised to use your data for their own unrelated marketing.

We do not sell your personal information.

Coaches may create read-only share links for parents/guardians. Those links expose only the analysis content allowed by our share redaction rules (stricter for younger age groups).

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the security and integrity of the service.

Coach accounts may store profiles for junior players. Coaches are asked to confirm guardian consent where applicable. For younger age groups we apply stricter share redaction (for example initials and reduced visual detail on shared links). Parents/guardians should contact the coach who manages the profile for access or deletion requests related to a child's data.

We retain account and analysis data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Uploaded media and results may be kept for history and coaching workflows until deleted by you, a coach/admin, or as part of operational cleanup. You can request deletion of your account data through in-product admin flows where available, or by contacting us.

• Accept or reject analytics via the cookie banner.
• Update or delete account information where the product allows.
• Sign out and clear browser storage to remove local preferences.
• For EU/UK or other rights requests (access, erasure, etc.), contact us with your account email and we will respond as required by applicable law.

CricRise is accessible globally. Servers and processors may be located outside your country. By using the service you understand that your information may be processed in those locations with appropriate safeguards used by our providers.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after updates means you acknowledge the revised policy.
